Janet S. Blake found storytelling later in life and now tells her tales at I Love a Good Story, the M Bar's UnCab Lab Shows, the Jumping-Off-Point, Spark, and benefits for animal rescue and breast cancer, among others. "Have story, will travel" has become her new motto. Janet feels blessed that fire fighters saved her Briggs Terrace neighborhood during the recent devastating Station Fire. The kindness of friends pulled her through a six day evacuation.

Denis Faye is a writing whore. He's written for several publications, including The New York Times, Wired, Surfer and Los Angeles Magazine. His screenplay, the vampire western High Midnight, is currently in development with Mary Lambert attached to direct and Billy Baldwin attached to star. (No, that's not the weird, born-again Baldwin. That would be Stephen.) He writes comic books for Studio 407 and his blog www.easyfiend.com and has a small, cultish, stress-inducing following.

Former migrant farm laborer Betty Goldstein worked her way up to where she is today: Unemployed and unemployable. Inspired from watching real drama unfold at the unemployment office, she writes.

Lance Whinery is a writer, a gadabout, and a fun-loving souse, plagued with the failed efforts of keeping it in that order. He currently works for the CBS sitcom "Rules of Engagement" and resides off the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. www.myspace.com/lance_whinery.

Fiona Landers is a New York/Los Angeles based singer-songwriter and actress. She has been compared both lyrically and musically to Elliott Smith, Paul Simon and Stephin Merritt and vocally to Billie Holiday, Joni Mitchell and Leslie Feist. Her new EP, The Lake, an eclectic sampler of folk/pop songs, with a hint of jazz, is a wonderful introduction to a powerful new artist, and is available on Itunes. Visit fionalanders.com for more info.

Lauri Fraser is a voice-over actress, writer, and creator of I Love A Good Story. She is the voice of Jane Jetson and can be heard on cartoons, games, animated features and commercials. Just as Superman paid the bills as a newspaper reporter, Lauri's real-world disguise is being a hairdresser and color expert in Beverly Hills. Lauri is also a cool chick, according to her imaginary friend, Carlotta. Bookings: Imperium 7 talent agency: 323-931-9099. Hair: Tina Cassaday's Hair Studio: 310-271-1591.

Brina was born in Zaire but raised mostly in the states. She received a BS from the University of California Berkeley, then went back to school for her engineering certificate. For her, engineering is the perfect marriage between science and music. She currently works at a recording studio in L.A. and freelances in her off time.
Brooke Seguin, an LA actor/writer, can be found many Friday evenings performing improv comedy at Westside Eclectic. She also performs at UCB and with her sketch group, Lady Sketch (www.myspace.com/ladysketchshow). Brooke is a Louisiana native and an occasional storyteller with a family full of stories to tell and spicy recipes to share. Yes, her favorite 'X-Men' character is Gambit aka Remy Lebeau, and she is very afraid of the Rougarou.
